10-WEEK / 90-DAY RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM

The Weapons Under Disability Accountability Program is a structured 10-week, 90-day residential educational program designed to help participants understand the consequences of weapons-related offenses while developing accountability, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, decision-making, violence prevention, employment readiness, and community reentry skills.
This program serves individuals charged with Weapons Under Disability offenses, Carrying a Concealed Weapon offenses, individuals charged with a Third-Degree Felony (F3) weapons offense, and other court-referred participants identified as needing violence prevention, accountability, decision-making, and life-skills education while residing at River City Correctional Center.
Increase accountability, reduce recidivism, improve decision-making, strengthen emotional intelligence, teach alternatives to violence, improve communication, enhance employment readiness, and support successful community reintegration.

Week 4 – Self-Awareness & Emotional Intelligence
Week 5 – Anger Management & Self-Control
Week 6 – Weapons Awareness & Legal Consequences
Week 7 – Conflict Resolution & Communication Skills
Week 8 – Violence Prevention & Self-Defense Alternatives
Week 9 – Dress With A Purpose & Employment Readiness
Week 10 – Community Reentry Planning & Graduation
Monday – Accountability & Cognitive Thinking Skills
Tuesday – Emotional Intelligence & Anger Management
Wednesday – Weapons Awareness & Violence Prevention
Thursday – Life Skills, Employment Readiness & Community Reentry
Participants will demonstrate increased accountability, improved decision-making, stronger conflict-resolution skills, enhanced employment readiness, and a reduced likelihood of future criminal justice involvement. Certificate of Completion awarded upon successful completion.
